The world’s second largest exhibition, HOSTECH by TUSID, set the wheels in motion
Organized by CNR Holding subsidiary, Istanbul Trade Fairs, and featured as the world’s second largest exhibition, HOSTECH by TUSID has started. More than 800 brands showcase their products at the exhibition, greeting around 50 thousand buyers, including 2.000 VIP buyers, from 100 countries. The 24th edition of the exhibition will yield trade volume worth billions of dollars and welcome exhibitors and visitors until the last day of the exhibition, Sunday, September 12.
Assembling one of the world’s key industries, the Horeca industry, and hosted by CNR Holding Chairwoman Ceyda Erem, HOSTECH by TUSID - International Hotel, Restaurant, Cafe, Patisserie Equipment and Technologies Fair has started with the official opening ceremony, where TİM (Turkish Exporters Assembly) Chairman İsmail Gülle, İDDMİB (Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association) Chairman Tahsin Öztiryaki, TUSİD (Industrial Kitchen, Laundry, Service and Catering Equipment Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association) Chairman Güçlü Kaplangı attended. HOSTECH by TUSID, organized by CNR Holding subsidiary, Istanbul Trade Fairs, and featured as the world’s second largest exhibition, hosts more than 800 international brands.
“We keep adding contributions to export”
Expressing satisfaction about the fact that prospective business owners and investors to renovate their business show enormous interest in the exhibition, CNR Holding Chief Marketing Officer Mert Kaan Duman stated, “As CNR Holding, we keep and will keep adding utmost contribution to the exhibiting companies and the export of Turkey as we did with great success in the past”. Indicating that the exhibition represents an export hub for the hotel, restaurant, gastronomy, and kitchen equipment industry, Duman added they gather more than 50 thousand professional buyers from the Middle East, Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Gulf Region, North Africa, the Balkans, and Western Europe on the area spanning over 60 thousand square meters.
“We exceeded the numbers in the pre-pandemic era”
Pointing out Turkish exporters succeeded in keeping the economy vibrant and retaining employment through their performance in the pandemic era, TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said export would keep flourishing and contributing to the Turkish economy in the following years. Emphasizing that export has increased by 37 percent compared to the percent of the same period last year and exceeded 140 billion dollars since the new year, Gülle stated, “these numbers prove that we were able to compensate for the losses in the first months of the pandemic and exceeded the numbers in the pre-pandemic era.”
İDDMİB Chairman Tahsin Öztiryaki, who delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, shared that it is gratifying to see the exhibition, which was organized in a small area 30 years ago, transform into a great organization and the fact that Turkey has become one of the leading countries dedicated to this field.
Öztiryaki expressed that the industry with an export rate of over 1.8 billion dollars in 2020 aimed to reach 2.4 billion this year and added the industry’s export rate for January-August increased by 45.7 percent and hit 1.59 billion dollars.
“The participation rate is satisfactory”
TUSİD Chairman Güçlü Kaplangı highlighted, “Celebrating its 30th anniversary of establishment, TUSİD is featured as the first and only association dedicated to the industry. We have accomplished great things in 30 years, and the exhibition proves it right. We organize our first exhibition in the post-pandemic era. The participation rate is satisfactory. HOSTECH by TUSID is the second largest exhibition of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Although the pandemic did the most severe damage to the industry, we were able to expand the exhibition by 50 percent, which gives us hope for the future.”
The Turkish Horeca industry will grasp an opportunity to discover new markets and maintain its dominance in the global arena via HOSTECH by TUSID. Around 50 thousand buyers, including 2.000 VIP buyers, from 100 countries will keep up with cutting-edge technological products at the exhibition, greeting more than 800 brands.
