Ali İhsan Bostan and Rıdvan Aktaş said that they had a great experience at the event organized by Pozitif Trade Fairs, a subsidiary of CNR Holding, with the cooperation of MOSDER.

The first day of Furniture Istanbul, which is the biggest meeting of the furniture industry, was marked by the great number of foreign buyers. In a single day, the exhibition welcomed 12 thousand buyers, 2 thousand of which were foreigners. Foreign buyer numbers were increased by 80% compared to the previous year. Their interest in the exhibition is expected to contribute greatly to the export volume of the sector.
Furniture İstanbul, uniting the biggest companies of Turkey under one roof started at CNR EXPO Yeşilköy. Furniture Istanbul, organized by Pozitif Fairs, a CNR Holding subsidiary, in collaboration with MOSDER (Association of Turkish Furniture Manufacturers), will continue until November 11.
In her statement, CNR Holding CEO Ceyda Erem said that there was a remarkable increase in the foreign buyer numbers and that on the first day, the exhibition welcomed 12 thousand buyers, 2 thousand of which were foreigners, adding:
"The number of buyers who registered online was 4 times more than last year, reaching 15 thousand. As we look at the numbers of the first day, we see that there’s an increase of 80% in buyer numbers. We hosted buyers from USA, Italy, France, Israel, Russia, Canada, Romania and Ethiopia. The attention we received will contribute greatly to the export numbers of the industry. Our biggest target for this exhibition is to increase our export volume. As a result of our marketing activities abroad, we expect to unite our exhibitors with 90 thousand buyers.”

Mondi Furniture introduces new furniture collections, new beds, and home textiles at Furniture Istanbul, bringing the dining room and bedroom concepts to the forefront as well as the Techno Teenager Room.

Furniture Istanbul, organized by CNR Holding in collaboration with MOSDER (Association of Turkish Furniture Manufacturers), the newest collections of over 350 companies representing the 75% of the Turkish Furniture Industry are displayed at the exhibition.
As well as the newest collections at the exhibition, which will continue until November 11, the Hygienic Mattress, patented by Yataş, draws a great amount of attention from the visitors.
The company worked with a domestic thread manufacturer and completed the product in 1.5 years. The mattress changes color with the formation of bacteria, thus helping the consumer know when to wash it.
Erdem Çenesiz, the President of Turkey Ceramics Federation and the Chairman of Glass and Ceramics Exporters Union, has invited the Americans to UNICERA - Ceramics, Bathroom, Kitchen Exhibition, one of the world's biggest specialized trade fair.
The Cement, Glass, Ceramics Exporters Union, which continues its international promotion activities in the ceramics field under the brand "Turkishceramics," to increase the Turkish ceramics market share in the US, has initiated collaborations with the Ceramic Tile Distributors Association (CTDA), Tile Contractors Association of America (TCAA), North American Tile Ceramic Assembly (TCNA), National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA).

During the meeting held on 27-30 October 2018 with a total of 500 participants within the scope of the 4-day long program, Erdem Çenesiz, Chairman of the Board of Cement, Glass and Ceramics Exporters Association gave a presentation regarding the production and export capacity of the Turkish ceramics industry.
Stating that Turkey ranked as the 5th largest exporter in ceramic tiles and 4th in the vitrified ceramic installation materials in the world, Çenesiz added, "Our industry has the potential to rise to third place considering the growth in recent years thanks to the investments of our ceramic companies."
Çenesiz also said, "Turkey's ceramic tile exports to the US has increased by 25% in 2017. This increase is 11% in the vitrified ceramic installation materials. The USA is an essential market for Turkey; Turkey with the production capacity and product quality is an important country for the entire world." He invited the Americans to UNICERA Ceramics, Bathroom, Kitchen Exhibition which is one of the world's largest specialized trade fair.
UNICERA organized on 160 thousand sqm exhibition ground with the goal to welcome more than 100 thousand professional visitors of which 20% would be foreigners from four continents will be held on 5-9 February 2019 at CNR Expo Istanbul.
The furniture industry, one of the locomotive sectors for exports in Turkey, met in Istanbul. The Furniture Istanbul exhibition, which hosts nearly 90 thousand professional buyers from 85 countries, is targeting a US$ 1 billion business volume. The year-end export target of the sector is projected to be UD$ 3 billion with the impact of the exhibition.

Speaking at the opening of the fair, Deputy Minister of Trade Fatih Metin stated that the furniture sector had a potential of US$10 billion, but exports accounted for only 30% of it. Metin, who pointed out the US$ 200 billion potential in the world market added that it was an immense indication for new opportunities. He continued his words:
"R&D, innovation, design, and branding are required to increase our share in the world trade. As the Ministry of Commerce, we stand by our industrialist. Our furniture exports are currently limited to Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. We need to take our place in the market where the US imports USD$ 45 billion; we must enter into new markets."
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, CNR Holding CEO Ali Bulut said, "As a result of the publicity activities we have conducted all over the world, we aim to bring nearly 90 thousand buyers from 85 countries together with our exhibitors. The fact that more than 15 % of buyers will come from abroad is an indication of our exhibition's contribution to exports."
US$ 1 BILLION TRADE VOLUME TARGETTED IN 6 DAYS
Pointing out that Furniture Istanbul was the most well-established trade fair of the industry, Turkish Furniture Manufacturers Association (MOSDER) President Nuri Öztaşkın said, "With the VAT reductions during the exhibition that will last for six days, we foresee the business volume to reach to US$ 1 billion. The furniture sector performing with no current account deficit for years is expected to create US$ 3 billion by the end of 2018 thanks to the impact of Furniture Istanbul."
Istanbul Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters Association President Ahmet Güleç indicated that the furniture sector exports had expanded in the last 16 years and that the production quality and design had made a mark on this growth. He also noted that the industry had a foreign trade surplus of US$ 2 billion.

800 manufacturers who operate in the field of Hotel, Restaurant, Cafe, Patisserie Equipment came together with the buying committee from 60 countries at HOSTECH by TUSID.
The exhibition welcomed over 60 thousand visitors, gaining great attention from foreign industry professionals and signing million dollar export deals.
HOSTECH by TUSID, one of the two biggest trade shows on hotel, restaurant, gastronomy and kitchen equipment in the world was held between the dates of October 24-28 at CNR EXPO Yeşilköy.

Istanbul Ferrous And Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association (İDDMİB) and Öztiryakiler Industrial Kitchen Executive Board Member Chairman Tahsin Öztiryaki expressed their thoughts about the exhibition, saying that there was a great interest in HOSTECH by TUSİD from foreign buyers.
Öztiryaki added that all the exhibition halls were full, estimating that nearly 100 million dollars worth export connections were made at the event. Öztiryaki said they invited visitors from their network, with the support of the Ministry of Trade.
The Design Contest, organized annually within the scope of Furniture Istanbul, became a yearly tradition.
